Damage Control - Security Film
HPWF - national and global specialists in security film solution
At HPWF we specialise in the provision of security window film for locations across the country and around the world. Our dedicated Security Window Application Team (SWAT) is trained in the assessment, provision and application of security window film for commercially or politically sensitive buildings. Our experience spans a broad range of sectors including government agencies, business and not-for-profit agencies, wherever they are at work in high risk areas with high level security considerations. Applications like this are often highly confidential and at HPWF we have designed systems and procedures to protect such information. Ask your HPWF representative about an obligation-free threat assessment and window film recommendation to meet 'Duty of Care' requirements for your personnel, clients and tenants.
Safety film can be applied either clear or tinted. The obvious benefit for tinted film is added privacy,
but also helps with rejecting heat, reducing glare and blocking out damaging UV rays.
Security Benefits
The security benefits include:
- Secures the building envelope
- Holds shattered glass in frame
- Prevents catastrophic injury
- Provides appropriate personnel protection in high risk locations
- Deters thieves and vandals
Clear View & Scratch resistant
Safety and Security Films from HPWF deliver high order protection and are virtually invisible, with excellent optical clarity. They will not diffuse light transmission, create shadows, nor yellow over time. In addition they feature a patented, resilient, scratch resistant coating to further enhance their longevity and durability.
The coating is easy to clean with HPWF's exclusive film cleaner available from your supplier.
Protection during natural disasters
Severe weather, earthquakes and wind borne debris can cause glass panes to break, fall or fly through the air as deadly missiles. Anything or anyone in their path is highly vulnerable. Much of this consequential property damage and personal injury is preventable with the
application of HPWF's Safety Film which acts to hold the broken glass together.
Protection against bomb blasts
Deliberate violent acts resulting in glass breakage are an ever present risk. These could be anything from vandalism, 'smash and grabs' and forced entry, to political and social demonstrations or terrorist bomb blasts.
In such instances, HPWF Security Film can act as an invisible deterrent and defense. Faced with a window or glass door that is almost impenetrable, thieves who rely on speed are unlikely to persist. In a bomb blast the combination of security film, and HPWF's exclusive 'EdgeLock' film-to-frame fastening technology act together to mitigate damage.
Ask our certified consultants for an assessment and recommendations on the application of security film.
Testing and approvals
HPWF clear and tinted Safety and Security Film products have been tested by the University of NSW Building Research Centre and exceed Australian & New Zealand standards Human Impact Consideration AS/NZS2208. HPWF Safety and Security Films are used to upgrade non-conforming glass to the Australian & New Zealand 'Human Impact' standard AS/NZS
2208 and the 'Selection and Installation' standards AS 1288 & NZS 4223. In addition HPWF have ASIO T4P Approval* on some films for shatter resistance. *HPWF are endorsed by the Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) and have gained ASIO T4P Approval for shatter resistance.
Additional Benefits of Security Film
HPWF's Safety and Security Films are available in both clear and tinted grades providing added protection from heat and glare and a corresponding improvement in energy efficiency.
Building air conditioning and heating systems simply require less energy to operate. In addition, hot spots can be eliminated with tinted window film acting to even out temperature
variations.
The effect of the sun's ultraviolet rays is also reduced with up to 99% of these rays being blocked - helping to protect furnishings, fittings and merchandise from fading and deterioration. Tinted security films can also greatly enhance the external building facade, creating a uniform, modern and stylish appearance.
